If you have experienced sciatica, lower back pain, pins and needles, a “knife stuck right there,” burning or severe sciatica, allow me to give you a huge virtual hug!

I have felt your pain. I have been there and would never want to be there again.  Back pain can be as debilitating as any other condition or even worse, because when there is a flare-up, you are at your back’s mercy– actually, your sciatic and other nerves’ mercy.     Back pain isn’t native to a particular age group.  From athletes to office workers to weight trainers, anyone is vulnerable.  All you need is to bend the wrong way, sit in the same wrong position, or sustain a minor injury to develop bulging or herniated disks.  Bulging disks typically put pressure on the sciatic nerve, causing numbness in one or both legs.   This is the story of how my ordeal with

Bulging disks, usually end  up putting pressure on the sciatic nerve, and numbing one or even both legs.   This is the story of how my ordeal with back pain started and how you or a loved one, can potentially prevent and even reverse injury.

A few years ago, while I was a freshman in college, I worked as an Administrative Assistant for a large organization in NYC. Some of my duties included filing documents—a task I did not enjoy. One day, while trying to organize some files, I accidentally pulled out a drawer that was overloaded with documents. To my surprise, the entire drawer came out! In an instinctive attempt to prevent the heavy drawer from falling and possibly injuring my foot, I tried to grab it. This turned out to be a big mistake. I immediately felt a sharp pain that radiated from my lower back up to my neck. At that moment, I knew something was wrong with my back, but I had no idea how serious it would turn out to be.

I went home feeling extremely sore. The next day, when I tried to get out of bed, my body seemed to protest, saying, “Oh no, dear, you’re not going anywhere.” Despite this, I had to get to school and work, so I forced myself to get up with my mom’s help. She insisted that I should stay home, but I was young and thought I could handle it all

Walking was extremely painful, and getting in and out of the car felt like pure misery. Each task was more painful than the last, and, of course, I wasn’t listening to my body.

That was the beginning of the most horrible pain I’d ever experienced.   I eventually was diagnosed with L1 & S1 bulging discs.  I dare say that it is much worse than the back pain during pregnancy I experienced, and even giving birth to my son– because at least that ceased at some point.   The pain in my lower back and leg was so intense that I was no longer able to get solid sleep.  This, of course, started to take a toll on my mental and physical health.  OTC medications didn’t do much, so my orthopedist decided to kick it up a notch and prescribe strong pain medication

OTC medications didn’t do much, so my orthopedist decided to kick it up a notch and prescribe strong pain killers and anti-inflammatories.  My nightmare had just started.    I took the anti-inflammatory, but it did little to get rid of the pain on my lower back or “the knives as I often described it to others.”   Before I finally found this amazing method, which would change my life forever, I had gone through the following conventional treatments:

  • Painkillers &Anti-inflammatories, which my body didn’t react well to. I didn’t like how I felt, so I wouldn’t take them.  Plus, I knew that feeling like a zombie wasn’t going to help, instead, I had to listen to my body.
  • Cortisone shots~ . Yes, they give you temporary pain relief, but the pain never goes away. It would always come back to haunt me at the worst time.
  • Therapy~  This was also a temporary fix, but I have to admit that some of the exercises they had taught me to do at home provided some relief then!   The cat-camel stretching pose would become part of my healing process at that time, and it also helped when I was pregnant.

The list goes on, but none of that took my pain away, ever.   That is when I decided to take my health into my own hands and started investigating the root cause of my back pain and how to stop further injury.   After much research, here are some of the findings on why I was experiencing that incessant pain:

Our body is so perfectly designed that there are warning signs for anything and everything that threatens its perfect organs, nervous system, and of course, the skeletal and muscle system.   Turns out that when our body feels that the spinal cord is potentially compromised, what follows is a chain reaction of muscle spasms and tightening to protect the vertebrae– which in turn protects the spinal cord.

Vertebrae are the 33 individual, interlocking bones that form the spinal column. Each vertebra has three main functional components: the vertebral body for load-bearing, the vertebral arch to protect the spinal cord. (source).   If none of this happened, we would continue to abuse our body and do things we aren’t supposed to while disks, muscles, and nerves are continually inflamed.   So, my quest now was to figure out how to target the root cause of my back pain–The bulging disks and tremendous inflammation.

That is when I decided to write this article on What causes Back Pain, Instant Relief And The Natural Treatment That Will End it! Just so I can help others like you end that misery.
