As you can see I like to juice. I juice all type of vegetables, fruits, and even superfoods.
If you have been diagnosed with an ulcer or really bad acid reflux this juice should be part of your natural treatment to heal it. Yes, you can heal ulcers, GERD, and acid reflux naturally– if you are willing to make lifestyle ur changes mainly with your diet. Wait no pill? Clearly, we know the pills “work” in treating the symptoms for a bit, haven’t been working at all or worse yet– if medications have damaged something else.
You know it. Over the counter pills are just a “quick fix” that actually don’t fix anything at all. They simply mask the issue. Don’t you want the long-term results? I am sure you do– once you get rid of the burning, bloating, and that horrible feeling of fullness, discomfort, gas, regurgitation you will never look back.
I wanted immediate relief to the misery they call GERD- acid reflux. It is a never-ending cycle that you must be willing to get out of at all cause. Just like you, I went the conventional route with OTC medications, I tried Omeprazole, tums, Alka-Seltzer, etc… None of them got to the root cause of my issue. None! It was all a temporary band-aid to a much deeper problem; Poor habits and nutrition. After a while I decided to taky matters in my own hands, and addressed GERD the natural way– I know exactly how you feel.
I declared the natural healing war on PPI, Acid blockers and of course, Acid reflux and I won! You can too, and this juice was part of my healing plan. If any of the symptoms above sound familiar, you ought to learn how I did it here: healyounaturally.com/
Cabbage To Prevent Cancer
Cabbage has several Cancer-Preventing Properties according to this article by Dr. Mercola. Cabbage contains powerful antioxidants like vitamins A and C and phytonutrients such as thiocyanates, lutein, zeaxanthin, isothiocyanates and sulforaphane, which stimulate detoxifying enzymes and may protect against breast, colon and prostate cancers.
Sulforaphane, also selectively targets cancer stem cells, and by doing so it effectively prevents the cancer from spreading and/or recurring. Antioxidants also help protect your body from oxidative stress.
The George Mateljan Foundation noted:
“Without sufficient intake of antioxidants, our oxygen metabolism can become compromised, and we can experience a metabolic problem called oxidative stress. Chronic oxidative stress in and of itself can be a risk factor for development of cancer.”
In this article Dr. Axe explains the benefits of red cabbage in depth including it’s gut and autoimmune healing properties. :
The immune system is extremely vulnerable to oxidant and antioxidant balance, as uncontrolled free radical production can impair its function and defense mechanism. These free radicals can form in the body and promote tissue damage. However, antioxidants are the perfect defense mechanisms for the immune system and can help fight off intruders, including cancer. Additionally, vitamin C is important in the formation of collagen, which keeps our bodies and cells connected and solid. (1)
Due in large part to its vitamin C content, red cabbage is a high-antioxidant food that fights free radical damage and strengthens the immune system.
Cabbage To Heal Ulcers and Acid Reflux
Cabbage has been knowing for its gut healing properties due to . You can also make kimchi a probiotic live food that is one of the best foods for gut health.
When it comes to ulcer treatment in particular, one food rich in lactic acid stands out above the rest: cabbage juice.
Many years before antibiotics, cabbage juice was successfully used to prevent or heal peptic and duodenal ulcers. In one study, it was shown that cabbage juice alone had a cure rate of over 92 percent in the treatment of these ulcers. This compared to about a 32 percent cure rate in those patients that used a placebo or other treatment.
Cabbage is also a reliable source of vitamin C, which has been found to be lower in the gastric juice of ulcer patients. Therefore, if you have ulcers, cabbage juice is a safe, effective, and an inexpensive remedy. If you “culture” it or give it a chance to ferment, you’ll experience even more benefits. Check out my recipe to make fermented cabbage or veggies.
IMPORTANT: If you suspect or have been diagnosed with Hashimotos or hypothyroidism you must skip the juice and cook the cabbage to still get the benefits. Instead make a mango, ginger smoothie.
It is my hope that you concentrate on enhancing your lifestyle with Nutrition, exercise, stress reducing techniques and overall a healthier life style to your healing journey. Also, that you learned a thing or two today 😉
Have you juiced red cabbage before? It doesn’t taste bad at all. Plus the apple and any other fruit you add (I like 90:10) veggies: fruits but you can do 80:20. Add some soothing mango, aloe vera or papaya to enhance the ulcer healing properties.
