I love long holiday weekends, and I am sure you do too !
After all, it is a great opportunity to relax, enjoy the warm weather and spend quality time with family and friends.  

Fourth of July holiday is just so exciting… maybe it is the fireworks, the weather, gatherings, music, BBQ’s or the food?  Oh the foooood!!!

On that note, It can get a little overwhelming when trying to decide what to make or bring to a party that isn’t going to send you and your guests straight to the ER after the first bite.  Ok okay,  I am exaggerating, but you get the point.

That is why I have put together a list of quick and easy fourth of July healthy recipe ideas for you.  Now the problem is, I want to make them all!   Ok nuff said… without further ado here they are:

Appetizers

1. Cowboy Caviar Cups

Some of the  ingredients in this recipe can be substituted according to your dietary restrictions and life style.  For example: You can substitute the corn chips for organic non-gmo corn chips, organic corn, and beans from a BPA can.  Overall this recipe is a nice healthy treat- live a little 🙂

These blueberry strawberry cones spell convenience, delicious and easy. You can use parchment paper to make the cones and then fill’em up with fruit the day of your gathering and voila!

    Finally real healthy recipes without unrefined foods or sugary. (Thanks for the swerve suggestion)will use that instead or raw honey.

    What is jicama and where can I find it? Love the summer coolers and cookies will definitely try those.

      Hi Lilian,
      Jicama is a white bulbous vegetable native to central america. It resembles a potato but only wetter and crunchier which you can find at your local ethnic food store. I am glad you loved the recipes. Enjoy!
